Giving young people better opportunities for the future is one of the goals that the Miwani Farm in Kenya has been focussing on for years. We offer training programmes and also support ideas for setting up a start-up. Emmanuel Wandega is a talented young man who is always looking for ways to earn a living and utilise his skills. He is one of eight children.
His parents work on the farm in Kisumu.

Emmanuel has a great talent for creativity and art. As he lives in one of the poorest areas of Kenya, about 20 kilometres from the farm, it is very difficult for him. Sometimes it is barely enough for his daily needs.

With the help of donations, we were able to finance two semesters of animation and graphic design at an art academy in Nairobi. His dream is to become an entrepreneur in the field of video production and art. To do this, he needs basic equipment, such as a professional camera and a computer for video editing. The purchase costs are far too high for him, so he has come up with an idea.

Emmanuel has developed easy-to-understand instructions on the topic of ‘Sustainable gardening with the production of organic fertiliser using rabbit breeding’. He would like to pass on these instructions – in return for a donation.
