On July 29th, in brilliant sunshine, the 9th Annual Bike Race through the old town center of Leutershausen began. This year this charity event was for the support of the Nehemia Team in the Indonesian part of Borneo.
Within a few hours, 51 sponsored teams covered more than 3000km for children in Kalimantan. A great atmosphere among more than 400 competitors and visitors, the contribution of 130 volunteers, the generosity of the sponsors, and the flawless organization of YMCA Leutershausen made the cycle races an unforgettable experience.
The total profit goes directly towards the development and equipping of further kindergartens in isolated villages. In addition, a new toilet and bathroom facility will be financed for the girls in the hostel in Sanggau.
A real big Indonesian thank you from the Nehemiah Team and the Indonesian workers and children is due to the organizers and those who helped Manfred Mohr, and to the participants and sponsors. We are deeply touched that the YMCA Leutershausen selected our Nehemia project as their beneficiary this year.
